PHL 2023/24 WINTER TEAM KEY FEATURES
What is the Premier Hockey League “PHL”?
All of our teams will compete in the Premier Hockey League “PHL”. The PHL is a private, non-Hockey Canada-sanctioned league. It is geared towards elite players and academies from across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the NorthWestern United States. Teams will compete in 5-7 showcase weekends, along with a year-end championship tournament.
What is the cost?
- 2023/24 Phantoms Hockey Academy Team Fees: $4,450 (*GST and credit card processing fees not included).
- $500 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration.
- Payment Plans are available.
What is included in the Fees?
- The season is from September 2023 to March 2024
- Insurance, Track Suits, Hoodies, Hats, Game Jerseys, Game Socks, Pant Shells, and Dryland Gear. (Team logos will be placed on apparel)
- 5-7 Showcase Tournaments (minimum of 4 games per Showcase) Teams will compete in the Championship Showcase in March 2024 to crown a season
Champion
- A minimum of 80 hours of on-ice instruction from qualified hired coaches
- A minimum of 25 hours of dedicated skill development and dryland training
What is NOT included in the Fees?
- Individual Player/Family travelling cost for food and lodging.
- Any additional apparel and or training as decided by the parent group.
- Head Coaches' transportation, food and lodging cost
How often and where do you practice?
For the Winter Program, families can expect to have a minimum of 80 hours of on-ice instruction, with an additional 25 hours of dryland/skill training. On-ice practices will be held on the weekdays and weekends located in Calgary, Carstairs, Crossfield, Trochu, and its surrounding areas, which include but not limited to; Three Hills, Gleichen, Airdire and or Chestermere Arenas. It can be expected that weekend practices may consist of 2 practices in 1 day.
